Advanced Clinical Dermaplaning Certification

This is a full-day, 1-2-1 private certification designed to take your skin knowledge to a genuinely advanced level. You will begin with an online pre-study module that builds your clinical foundation before you arrive. On your training day, we will work through advanced skin anatomy, consultation, skin analysis and the full dermaplaning treatment process using my clinical method. You will leave with the skills, knowledge and certification to begin treating clients at a premium level immediately.

To join this certification, you will need:

• Level 2 Beauty Therapy, or equivalent
• A foundation facials qualification
• At least 6 months of industry experience

The certification includes:

• Online pre-study theory modules and assessment
• Full-day 1-2-1 in-clinic theory and practical training
• Live model experience under my supervision
• Four post-course supervised case studies
• Ongoing support from me after training

I will guide you through every stage so you feel confident, capable and ready.

You will access your theory modules through my student hub on the Jacalyn James website. If you do not already have an account, I will create one for you. Once you have worked through the content, you will complete a short assessment with a 95% pass rate. You will have 5 attempts. Completing your pre-study before your training day is essential it means we can go deeper on practical day without losing time on theory basics.

You will spend the full day with me, 1-2-1, in my Plymouth clinic. We will begin with a clinical theory refresher and skin analysis session, then move into practical training with a live model. I will demonstrate every technique, correct your practice in real time, and ensure you leave the day feeling genuinely confident and clinically capable.

Yes. After your training day, you will submit four case studies assessed personally by me. These are not a box-ticking exercise they are a structured bridge between training and client-facing practice. You will receive real, personalised feedback that helps you refine your skills and approach before you begin charging premium prices.

Dermaplaning is completely safe when performed by a trained, knowledgeable practitioner. The treatment uses a sterile surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and vellus hair from the surface of the skin. I will give you pricing guidance and support with how to position yourself in your market during the course

Once your four case studies have been assessed and approved, I will award your CPD-accredited certificate – Course No. #1007442, 4 credit hours. Your qualification is fully insurable, officially recognised and trusted across the UK. And yes, you absolutely should celebrate. You have earned it.

You can secure your place with a 50% deposit and spread the remaining balance before your training date. Klarna is also available. Full payment is required no later than 6 weeks before your training day.

Yes, fully. Your CPD accreditation means you are eligible for professional insurance to begin treating clients immediately after certification. I will guide you through the process so there are no gaps between qualifying and earning.

No. All training materials, products, tools and clinical equipment are provided by me on the day. You simply need to arrive in appropriate uniform and ready to focus. Everything else is taken care of.
