My Dermaplaning Course is a full-day training designed to give you confidence from start to finish. You’ll begin with an online pre-study manual to refresh your skincare knowledge, because knowledge is power. On your practical day, I’ll teach you the both facial routine and the full dermaplaning treatment process. You’ll leave ready to offer clients brighter, smoother, glowing skin.
- Level 2 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent)
- A foundation facials qualification
- At least 6 months of industry experience

The course includes:
- Online pre-study theory and exam
- In-class theory refresher
- Practical demonstration
- Hands-on training on live models
- Four post-course case studies
I’ll guide you through each stage so you feel confident every step of the way.
You’ll access the theory through my student hub on the Jacalyn James website. If you don’t already have an account, I’ll create one for you. Once you’ve studied the content, you’ll complete a short exam. The pass rate is 95%, and you’ll have 5 attempts. Passing this exam before your practical day is essential.
You’ll spend the day with me in my Plymouth academy. I’ll demonstrate the techniques, then support you as you practise on live models. You’ll leave feeling confident and ready to perform dermaplaning safely and effectively.
Yes. After your practical training, you’ll need to submit 4 case studies. These are assessed by me and give you valuable feedback, helping you refine your skills before working with paying clients.

Once your case studies are complete, I’ll award you a CPD-accredited certificate (Course No. #1007442, 4 credit hours). This qualification is fully insurable, allowing you to start offering dermaplaning treatments right away. And remember to celebrate – you’ve earned it!
You can secure your place with a 50% deposit, then spread the remaining balance. We also offer Klarna and Clearpay if these are preferred payment options.
